"PRESENTATION"

The following assignment applies to all students in Teen Acting and Teen Musical Theatre.

On the first Tuesday of every month, (even if we do not have class that day) you will submit self tape. For some you will receive specific instructions, for others you have more freedom, but regardless of material it should represent you and your best work.

YOUR VIDEO SHOULD

Begin with a slate with your full name, title of work, and author of work.
Be framed appropriately and intentionally.
Contain memorized, rehearsed, and polished material from start to finish.
Be your best effort. I will see these, the class will see these, other Complex faculty will see them.

PLEASE CONSIDER

Your clothes. Do not film these in your pajamas.
The content. Choose something that would be appropriate to perform in class or as an audition.
Your schedule. You know when the busy times are, think ahead.
The point. You are practicing performance readiness skills, do not cheat yourself out of this process by avoiding hard things.

CLASSROOM CABARET

Film a self tape audition as if you were auditioning for a themed Revue Show.

Songs, duets, monologues, scenes, dance, juggling, stand up comedy, etc. Whatever you like.

The Theme: STUDENT CHOICE

Audition with whatever you would theoretically perform in a cabaret setting.

MAY 6TH

Pop song of your choice (approved by Emily) sung for the stage

JUNE 3RD -

Reserved for makeup performances

You may upload to youtube, google drive, tiktok, instagram, or send it to me directly through text and email. As long as it gets to me.

FINE PRINT

For each video missed, you will become obligated to give a live performance for the class. Emily picks the material. Time will be added for each assignment missed.
